I have a problem with my Beocenter 2 and wonder if anyone can help.

Sometimes when I push the load button the wings open but the plastic cover does not lift up.

If I press load again the plastic cover will lift up and then immediately close (I just have enough time to either insert or remove the disk).

Sometimes when I press load the second time the plastic cover will lift up and stay up, however the lights do not come on.

At other times it works perfectly.

Any ideas what may be causing this problem?

I haven't experienced anything like this with my BC2 but I would guess that one possibility is that the plastic cover might have been forced down from the open position at some time, getting the gearing out of position. (The Serene motorised mobile phone could develop that sort of fault.)

Could it be an electronics issue: have you tried the usual power -off mains disconnection in the hope of getting some sort of reset or re-synchronisation?

Should be clean up mechanism and change the belt (part number 2732004)

The rubber belt antioxidant made clamper did not open easily.

The cost will be 250 us dollors including labor.

I have experienced the same problems some times. I thaught it was if I was to quick when pressing open.

I will have the serviceguy here in a week or so changing a part  in my tv, I will ask him :)

Hi Stephen

I have the same problem.

When I press LOAD, nothing happens.

When I press LOAD again, the plastic CD tray opens and closes within half a second and tries to load the disc.

Very annoying.
