Hello everyone.
First of all, I want to say this is my first post on this forum and I recently became owner of my first "big" B&O product. I own a pair of Beosound H9i's and chose B&O because of my grandparents. They had, which is now mine, a Beocom 6000 and most importantly a Beocenter 2000 with Beolab 2500 speakers and then using a Beolink converter (model 1611) a Beolab 2000 all controlled via the Beo4 remote.
I cleaned everything out and gave it a new lease on life because everything looks like new and I'm replacing everything that isn't at least looking close to new.
Now, my question. I have ordered a 3.5mm minijack to AUX in cable from Steve at Sounds Heavenly to add Airplay to the Beocenter 2300 using the AUX in port. Previously, the Beolink converter was plugged into that port and gave its sound to the attached Beolab 2000 over Masterlink. I'm still a novice when it comes to the whole Beolink/Masterlink setup and I have no understanding of how it all works. But, is there a possibility where I can still have the Beolab 2000 serving as a sound output of the Beocenter 2300 AND still have a Airplay/Bluetooth streaming input present?
None of the 2 Powerlink ports on the Beocenter 2300 is available because they are used to connect the Beolab 2500 active speakers.
Can someone maybe shed some light on my options/how the whole AUX-in to Masterlink connection works and what my possibilities are to add an external streamer? (Airport express for now, Beosound Core in the future maybe)
Thanks in advance and with kind regards,
- Beau
Hi and welcome to the forum!
In the setup that you describe, you simply need to buy another adaptor from Steve. Have a look at this and read the description - you will find that it describes exactly your situation.
