Good afternoon,
I have a Beovision 3 and Beocentre 2 including socket unit. I now live in Spain and want to know how to connect my TV via the internet since I have a TV box for channels, but this of course has a HDMI connection.
When in the UK I used my SKY box to connect all units to get all channels.
Can someone help please and let me know how I can connect all units again so that I can watch TV on my Beovision3
You'll have to use an hdmi to SCART converter and then connect to one of the BV3's SCART inputs - if you search you should find something suitable. Image quality wont be breat, but should be watchable on the TV's 32" screen if the converter is relatively decent.
Hi Guy,
Good to hear from you again since you helped me with my last problem.
I thought that was the case, but do not have that type of lead and not sure I could get one.
I suppose I should be able to get one on-line may be, and how would I tell if it was a good quality? Good brands? maybe you could suggest.
Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you.
Robert.
PS only checked today since I did not expect an answer due to the Bank Holiday
Thanks again
Hi again Robert,
Although I have no experience of this converter, I would try something relatively cheap like this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/GLANDOTU-Scart-Converter-1080P-Adaptor/dp/B08H8FF663
And see if you are happy with the picture quality.
Make sure that you purchase an 'hdmi to SCART' converter and NOT 'SCART to hdmi'.
And don't forget that you will need a USB power supply close by to power the device - most of the converters are powered this way and come with a short USB power lead. An iPhone charger or similar with 5V USB output should work fine.
Thanks again for your help.
After sending you the last message I noted "Steve" on the site, advertising cables so I contacted him, but he does not hold cables for the Beovision 3 due to its age.
Thanks again and I will try amazon. Everything nowadays seems to be Amazon!
No problem, and good luck!
Sometimes I try to avoid Amazon, but it's just so difficult ...
