My tapedeck is no longer working.  Everything else is working fine:I opened and checked, the belt is of: after reassembeling, the Phono turntable is only turning slowly. It seems the motor lost power. No sound on radio either. The display is working, showing tape, phono, P1; p2 etc. Any ideals?
And, how do i get new belts for my tapedeck?

Check power supply voltages. Replace the three large filter capacitors.
Belts etc. here: Beoparts-shop

Thanks for a swift answer.

I´m music-listener and a Beo-fan but no good with electronics. I'll see if I could find someone to help with measuring and replaceing. The belts I think I can handle.

Why did the filter capiators suddely break when I moved and opened the stereo? Old age? Or did I do something wrong?

Bad capacitors is a (qualified) guess.
They contain liquid that evaporates (slowly) and they lose capacitance etc. with age.
They pretty much all break down by now.

Of course, there could be many other reasons, but the caps will need replacing either way and may easily be the sole cause.
