The Core supports AP2 but this was a software update—not a hardware change.
There was a hardware update made at some point to allow for the use of an IR eye, I believe. That’s the only hardware change implemented so far. If you do a search, you can find a thread or two about that here on the forum with more detailed info. I hope that helps!

Thanks, Curly. It's good to see that B&O are keeping the device up-to-date, as promised at the product launch/Shape launch. A good omen for the BL 28 and future smart speakers, perhaps.
I ask the question because I'm expecting some interesting audio announcements from Apple coming at the June developer's conference (WWDC).
