Hi All, long time lurker here, but haven't been too active: this is my first post!

I just recently acquired an ST/L tonearm that I'm going to restore for use on a 3000 table (that also needs some love!).

The tonearm's bearings are shot, and the pin bushings (rubber?) have rotted to dust. I'd like to reconsider the materials used for these, but I can't quite figure out how to get the bearing assembly apart! The metal shows some pitting around the gimbals, so I'd like to have them re-chromed, but again, getting the bearing assembly/gimbals dismantled is my first challenge....any help would be immeasurably appreciated, as I attempt to bring this elegant wand back to life.
