Beovision 5 with DVD1

Hi all!  I haven't posed a question here in ages!

I recently picked up a Beovision 5.  It is massive and very heavy!

My question is can I connect my DVD1 to it and still use the same remote.  I only ever had my DVD1 connected to my vintage MX 5000 via the SCART.

There is no SCART on the Beovision 5, however, there are RCA connecters and port labeled DATA  in the DVD space in the connection area.  Is this how I connect it?  What type of DATA cable is required?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts you have on connecting these two together!
