Hi everyone,

I've found a Beocenter 7700 in the attic of my grandpa's.

I'd like to use it to listen to my LPs as it's so beautiful, but I don't know where to start from.

I think I need speakers, but which kinda? I need any amp and/or other?

Thanks to you all in advance!

Regards.

Congratulations on your find - it's a great Music Centre.

You don't need a separate amplifier as there is a very good one built in.

You will need some speakers - there are 4 2 PIN DIN sockets on the back and you connect these to the speakers. You can use more or less any Passive Speakers with this, the recommendation would probably be Bang & Olufsen S45-2 or better. There's loads of information on this site.

It maybe that the belt for the turntable has perished or is worn, but new ones can be found on ebay or through Martin (Dillen) on this site.

You can get refurbished replacement cartridges' if this is worn through a number of suppliers - again on the internet.

For cables to connect speakers your best bet is Steve from Sounds Heavenly.

You connect a Phone, Streamer or iPod to this and access it via TP2 - again Steve can advise on your cable needs.

The manual is available on this site if you upgrade your membership.

I agree it is a beautiful piece of kit and well worth a bit of investment if it is in good condition and the amplifier/functions all work. I've had one in the past and loved it.
