Deezer and Chromecast Volume issues IOS devices last 10 days or so.

Hi all, 

 

As of ten days ago I have been experiencing major issues with Deezer and Chromecast on Multiple Bang & Olufsen connected systems. 

This issue is present across the entire product range and isn't just happening on my Deezer account or the same group of products. 

Up to now I know of 3 different Deezer Accounts and 3 different product sets across 3 different geographical locations and networks, experiencing these glitches. 

Initially about 10 days ago... When streaming from Deezer via Chromecast to any of the following... Beosound 1, Beosound 2, Beosound Emerge, Beosound Level, Beosound Core, Beosound Core as Beosound Shape, BeoVision Harmony, Beovision Eclipse, Beosound Balance, Beoplay A9. Deezer and Chromecast connects fine. however, as soon as you navigate out of the app the music appears to cut off. I then realised that its not disconnecting but as you come out of the app its reducing the volume right down on any products its Chromecast connected to. Whether that be a single product or grouped products. 

I reached out to some other people and they were also experiencing the same issue. 

So I reached out to Deezer but they had no reports of the issue. They trouble shot it with me but this was basically telling me to delete the app and Cache then restart the device before downloading the app again and streaming. 

This didn't resolve the issue on multiple devices, multiple accounts and multiple networks.

Two days went by and still no fix. then on the 3rd day. The issue of it completely muting the moment you exited the app went away. But, has been replaced by the volume decreasing by more than half what it is set to as you navigate out of the app to a home screen or into another app. 

Then if you manually increase the volume it's still there playing away, however if you then enter the app again it blasts the music at nearly 80%.

Is anyone else experiencing these issues within the last 10 days or so?

When I stream to my old Chromecast audio its not displaying these same behaviours. 

 

Deezer don't seem very supportive or forthcoming with answers to resolve the issue!

Please tell me im not alone and that someone has a fix for this? 

I rely heavily on Deezer Hifi and Chromecast streaming.

Probably doesn't help, but it's been a slow day in the home office so I thought I'd try to reproduce your issue.  I can't get Deezer + Chromecast to work at all, with any B&O device or my Chromecast audio.

I can play Deezer via the B&O app to a B&O device.  With some of my devices, it just never connects when I select the "Chromecast" output.  For some (including the Chromecast audio), it says it connects, and says it is casting, but the audio plays through the phone, and not the device.

This is with a GalaxyNote 20.  Tried with a BS1, BS2, Eclipse and CC audio.  Rebooted the phone.  The devices work fine with the B&O app so I didn't reboot them.

The devices all work fine with CC and the Podcast Republic app... at least today.  In my world, this looks like a problem with the Deezer app, but your world seems different.

I really dislike Chromecast.  It rarely works for me.  I bought a BS1 instead of a Level because I couldn't rely on Chromecast for anything important.

I experienced this yesterday casting from deezer on my iPhone 11 to my chromecast audio. It didn’t mute when switching to another app but reduced the volume by about a quarter.

Hey, that's weird. I've never had any issues with deezer.
