Hi all, I'm refurbishing a pair of Beolab 6000's and I'm unsure where the interior acoustic foam goes. It was a mess down the bottom of the speaker so all I could do was vacuum it out. So I'm unsure where this foam goes. I've got 2 largeish pieces of foam under the Baffle with port (part 3440165) But my new white foam doesnot look like these pieces. These pieces are larger. I can leave them in there as they are not touching anything electronic but they do look tired and will fall apart if I touch them. The kit I have has 2 white pieces (one thicker than the other, but both similar shape) and one thin grey/black foam sheet (which I'm pretty sure goes on the inside wall behind the speakers.
Do the new white pieces go behind the mid range speakers? at the speaker joint? or do these replace the thick ones I have behind the baffle?
I've looked at the service manual and it shows 2 smae thickness pieces behind the baffle just above the top mid range speaker (although in the diagram it seems to be a general position.

Hi all, I worked it out. The larger piece of foam goes under the port tubing and the smaller goes between the lowest midrange speaker and the amplifier board. It seems some of the older Beolab 6000's have 2 x larger pieces of foam under the port tubing. The new kit only has one piece of this larger piece of foam.
