Hay aall quick question.
I borrowed a airport express gen 1 from a dealer this weekend, I connected it to my beocenter 9300 and joined it to my network.
the airplay speakers keeps disappearing, I can still ping it but even the apple software cannot find it unless I click configure another and manually enter the IP.
anyone else have this problem?
Firmware is up to date and it responds to ping.

Hi,
I have had some problems with this as well... To find the Airport Express the software sends out an so-called mDNS request. Do you have any firewall enabled on your computer (if you are using a computer)? Try reboot your router, or see if there's an setting in the router to allow multicast-packets or something...

Hi there, yeah that could work but my ipad in fact can see it once its rebooted for a while them it disappears again until the next reboot.
