I use Beosound 9000 (mk2) with beolab 3.
it worked just fine until I moved this set to a different place.
while playing CD, it only plays for about 3~4 minutes and suddenly goes back to standby (and the pickup moves to the top on vertical stance). it does that everytime when operating any of CDs.
thanks for reply
Welcome to Beoworld,
have you changed the orientation of the BS9000 from vertical to horizontal or vice-versa? What, if any stand is it on?
Check all connections and ensure they are well connected. Check the spring (orientation) adjustments on the rear to ensure they are correct for the orientation it's in.
Make sure the control panel is secure in it's location or try removing it and turning it around to see if anything changes.
Try cleaning the laser lens.
You could try to unplug it from the mains, leave it for a while and plug it in again. Sometimes a 're-boot' can do a World of good.
Dave.
thanks dave,
unfortunately, I've tried all the basic steps I could think of including those u suggested.
I do have the vertical floor stand, even though I left the BS on floor for a while I was moving the set , didn't change the "orientation" at the back.
I heard from someone that I might have to replace some consumable parts I can't recall the name.
thanks anyways :)

Hi,
the glasslid, lens, the optocouplers and the bulbs(lights) behind the clampner are clean?

When mine did this I had it serviced and the entire laser unit had to be replaced. Hope you have better luck. Try cleaning, but that is about the only thing you can do.
