Hello,
the H8 "dropout issue" is well known and widely discussed in this thread:
http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/13370.aspx
On page 29 you find this post, which informs about a Bluetooth rework that should eliminate the drop out issue.
"Bluetooth reception improvements have been implemented in production from serial number:Gray Hazel: serial number 2524849 (w1542), and Argilla Bright: serial number 25120775 (w1543).BeoPlay H8 Black and Natural are per definition OK from start with improved Bluetooth reception."
It seems, that your serial number belongs to the range of headphones before the rework.
There seems to be no fix for the dropout issue except getting the H8 changed to a newer one with Bluetooth rework.
Best regards
Unfortunately, that is not the case. I just purchased a pair of black H8 two days ago from the B&O showroom and the bt drops out issue has started to surface.
I visited the showroom again today and after much discussion, they reluctantly gave me a new pair. I then charged my new H8 and the same problem occurred again.
I don't know the extensiveness of the problem, but with the YouTube app I downloaded for my iPad, the two H8s seem to crash regularly with the same songs. The problem is that with some songs, after a few seconds into play, the music stopped and the H8 is obviously disconnected even the bt connection indicates my iPad is connected to it. I have to re-pair the two devices again and everything seems to get back to normal. This is really troublesome to get the iPad out from my bag from time to time to pair up the two repeatedly. Does anyone have any suggestions what I could do so?
The Beoplay H8: I originally had battery issues, unit wouldn't keep charge for a decent number of hours I bought another battery, to no avail cost me 14% of value of the headphone. Then I had connection issues, the h8 would connect then my Iphone would drop it within 3 seconds after audio started to play, I seem to remember this happening over a few phones, but more recently noticed that my laptop also disconnects with the H8 and intermittently. Then I noticed in imusic, this always happens when airplay takes over the connection, I'm assuming this happens for all wireless connections. To my last point of trouble shooting would be airplay. I've turned off features like automatically transfer connections etc... but it still does it just with the iphone. What waste of money, if this isnt resolved soon I wont buy BnO again.
