Hi,

I could not find a related topic, is there a possibility to plug in to a Beomaster 7000 any Technics Vinyl Player and if so, what would it need?

Thanks a lot for your help!

You need a converter cable that converts the Technics output to a DIN connector to fit the BM7000 Phono input, and if the Technics does not have a RIAA amplifier, then you need an external RIAA also.

HI,

I presume most of Technics turntables come with cinch/RCA cable, whilst the BM7000 amp has a 7-Pin DIN PHONO socket.

So you will need a RCA to 7-pin DIN adapter, eventually RCA to 5-pin DIN adapter (if you do not need remote control feature).

You will also need a pre-amp (something like this) as the Beomaster 7000 does not have a built in RIAA pre-amp.

Try to contact Steve from Sounds Heavenly (look to the banner bellow, at this website), he can supply all possible cables for you.

Hi folks -

I have a similar setup as Marijan (Technics SL-1200 MK2 turntable with BeoMaster 7000 Tuner/Amplifier) but am running into some issues.

I had it all connected and and realized I needed a phono-preamp so picked up the basic Rolls Phono Preamp (VP29); this certainly picked the signal up, however, in doing so, introduced a slight distortion. I'm no audiophile (yet) so don't have the sonic verbiage to describe the distortion. It's most notable to me as a droning & deepening of the higher notes - in the voices. I'm guessing this is related to the preamp - but I really have no idea...

I'm using BeoLab 8000s and the same distortion is not present when playing wireless through an Apple Airport Express connected into one of the tape input channels of the amp.

Any sage advice for this B&O n00b would be greatly appreciated!!

Best,

Dan
