I have a Beovison 8-40 purchased new from an official B&O store in the UK about 3 years ago.
The tv currently controls a sky box and apple tv. I want to add a DVD player and possibly some sort of alternative to the apple tv. However I noticed that there are only the two controllers for above devices installed.
I have a few questions which I'd appreciate help on.
1. Is it normal to only have a couple of controllers installed from the dealer?
2. Can I add additional, controllers myself using a USB or similar.
3. I'm probably going to put the mark 1 atv on a mark 1 beovision 7 - again I'll need to add controllers - is it the same process?

Except for the future TV's starting with the Beovision 11, the PUC can only be updated by the dealer using a software Service Tool.
When you buy a Beovision there are a few "Standard" B&O entries in the PUC only and normally the dealer would ask you what other external STB's etc you wanted to control and they would normally load those from the B&O library. Clearly in your case this did not happen.
You cannot add PUC entries yourself via the USB
The dealer would need to add the PUC entries to the Beovision 7
