Hi all,

My 4000 has just developed a strange fault, when you press the on button the speed starts at 45rpm and the arm moves across to the platter but stops and drops the arm before it gets there. Also you cannot select 33rpm.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Paul

Paul, we need some more information.

1. When you say "the arm drops before it gets there", where are you expecting it to drop and where specifically does it drop?

2. Is the 45 speed indicator also lit?

3. When you say you cannot select 33, does that mean pressing the 33 switch, you are not seeing the indicator change nor do you hear a click?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark

i have now solved the problem. It was a combination of two dirty switches, the 17 slider button underneath the transport and the 33 switch on the touch pad.

thanks
