Mates

Have purchase and am remodeling a new home.

I have run cat7 to a variety of locations and terminated with the band and Olufsen recommended AMP terminations.

Question is: I have run out of the AMP terminations and am considering using another brand. The problem is all I can find are cat6 terminations. Is there any difference in the terminations?

I'm using cat7 cable everywhere. To be clear I am making all female terminations.

What's this then ? :)

As I understand it the spec is cat7 cable with cat6a connectors

I believe cat7 connectors are gg45 not rj45

The BeoCare hotline says cat6 will work as long as it is for shielded connections. The brand doesn't matter.

The other issue is the connectors should be metal and connect with the braided cable. That makes the ground and 'is vital'.

Just FYI
