Hi... I recently bought a Beogram 3000 over the internet...from Denmark.  It is a fabulous item, but due to me being a moron, I neglected to realize that Denmark uses a different power source than Canada.

This unit is wired for 220V...and Canada uses 110V.

My question is...Can this turntable be wired to allow me to use it here in Canada, or should I resell the unit and try again.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Steve

Yes it can Smile

See attached picture. The mains transformer has two primary windings that are now connected in series, they will need to be rewired in parallel. Be extra sure to do it correctly!

The fuse after the transformer (F1) will also need to be replaced with a 700 mA fast acting type. It is 500 mA in the 220V version, which I guess could blow too easily - these decks often blow the fuse even if you brake the platter too much while cleaning a record.

When I do this kind of stuff I always mark the new voltage in the rear panel (make your own sticker, or something). Otherwise, eventually somebody, somewhere, some time will just read the original type label and blow it up with incorrect voltage.

Hi Steve

How about converting 110 to 220 Volt?
