Hi,

After moving my BV 6-26 to another room the stand does not turn anymore. The stand is stuck in one position and is not possible to turn it either with the motor or by hand. Anyone has an idea what can be wrong? The problem occured first time a couple of months ago but I could then, wild mild force, move the stand by hand, but not any more. It's like a mechanical resistance. Are there any bolts or similar which could prevent the stand from turning?

Any ideas are highly appreciated.

Best regards,

Emil

I have not experienced this myself so you may not want to take too much notice of my suggestion but I understand that the plastic gears can jam if the wear excessively. If that was the case your use of 'mild force' may have been too much for them.

The other possibility is that during the relocation of the TV something has become trapped in the gears.

If you take the TV off the stand and take a look inside it from underneath you may see what the problem is. I seem to remember from putting mine together you can see the gears from the bottom face of the stand.

Thanks for the suggestion! I looked at it from underneath when moving the tv and then noticed that there were tape over what felt like to holes. I'll remove the tape and see if I can see something from there. The strange thing is that the initial problems occured before the tv was moved so I dont' understand what has  happened. And it was located in a bedroom and the stand were hardly used in there so is seem strange if the gears should have worn out.
