I just purchased a beosound 5 encore, I found it takes quite long time to start up while it goes standby( about 30 seconds to 1 minute). Is it normal?

From the B&O FAQ :
You can shorten the start-up time by changing the standby power consumption in the POWER SAVING menu. Note that setting the POWER SAVING menu to NO will increase the standby power consumption of the music system.
Change default power consumption… > Use the pointer to highlight MODE. > Turn the wheel to select SETTINGS and press GO. > Use the pointer to highlight SYSTEM SETTINGS. > Turn the wheel to select POWER SAVING and press GO. > Turn the wheel to select YES or NO and press GO. > Use the pointer to leave the menu.
Power saving to no would increase start up time ? I will have a try while I get back home
Yes i found that when i had my BS5e moving power saving to no made it quicker, however, it's still not instant when it starts up
Sometimes when it's completely off it takes forever
If you haven't already Miv., I would recommend incorporating a Playmaker into the mix, it's great if you're sitting on your couch and use your iphone, but it doesn't replace (for me) the actual touch and sensation of when i used the product.
