Just fitted a new laser head to my Beosound 1.

Unfortunately I am stuck on a problem with reassembly.

There are three ribbon connectors going to the display module and I have pulled them away from the connectors inside the display module when I disassembled the Beosound 1. I need to access the inside of the module to try and reconnect them but I cannot see how to remove the black plastic cover over the display module. - any advice please ?

I think this is what you need.

Thanks for your response Peter.

I've now got the ribbon connectors in place and my Beosound is working perfectly.  Phew !   I was sweating a bit !  The trick seems to be to carefully lever the cover of the display upwards with a screwdriver inserted under the bottom lip of the display cover.

My CD player was starting and stopping which seems to be a common problem and caused by a defective laser head. I got the head refurbished by a great guy in England who provided awesome service.  His name is Mark at  mark@av-repairs.com  He has a website :    http://av-repairs.com/

I'll post a new thread recommending this guy as finding new optical heads can be difficult.

Cost me about $120 and well worth it.
