Could some please explain the service counter readings from this 2009 Beocenter 6 TV.
AUDIO (DAYS) 2
BOOT COUNTER 42754
VIDEO (DAYS) 4
ON (T*10) 4294
Thanks, Steve.
Hi Steve,
AUDIO DAYS - 2 The number of days which the set has played audio from an inbuilt or linked source (i.e. with the screen off)
VIDEO DAYS - 4 The number of days which the set has physically displayed a picture on the screen
ON (T*10) - 4294 The number of times the set has been switched on from standby, multiplied by 10 (in this case, 42,940 times)
BOOT COUNTER - 42,754 The number of times that the set has been powered up from the mains (i.e. from the plug/wall, rather than from standby)
I'm fairly certain that there was a software fault which caused the 'Boot Counter' and 'On' counters to go crazy; I'm sure your local service centre could clarify this, though.
After all, the owner would have been more or less constantly sitting with it, turning it on and off for the past 4 years!
Can the Video and Audio counters be reset or changed?
