I initially thought this was home-made.  But no, just super-rare.

Hmmm... Rare you say? Bought one a couple of years ago - It's in my closet waiting for me to refurbish it - Although it's in overall good condition it needs a bit of TLC and the top plate is a bit oxidized around the edges where the rubber from the lid touches it.

Seems quite expensive but looks in excellent condition.

Funnily enough, I've just bought an almost mint one for 20€ in France.  I hadn't seen one until this thread - lucky timing.

Dave.

Great deal!  The original just sold for $125.

I had one of these and it was an excellent turntable. I made the mistake of lending it to a friend of another beoworld member (I won't say who) who said they were looking for a deck - he then promptly sold it on ebay after a few weeks. I was absolutely livid.

Just livid or did you paid him a visit?

There was one on sale here in Sweden just last week. I don't think there were any bidders. I also didn't place a bid because of lack of space. I didn't know it was quite that rare. If it turns up again I might take it.. :-)

Was that the one I swapped with you for those cubes?

There is one for sale in France right now... I've seen a few here over the last few years. All in nice but not working condition. Less than €100,or much less even!

I know someone that has a Beolab 5000 amp with a Beogram 1800, and some old Beovox S45-2 speakers, a sweet sounding combo indeed
