Hi

Just bought an HDR2 red led light is on but does not respond to remote.

I press on Vtape nothing, I use the same SCART cable as the one I use for my DVD2

Did not find anything by googeling nor on the forum.

May be the BEO 4 needs an update, but the manual says Vtape should be OK

How is it connected?  How are the BV5 menus set up for the inputs?  In effect you need to let the BV5 know what is plugged into each SCART input.  I take it that you have consulted the manual?

Hi guy

Well I still have a hard time to understand B&O philosophy about these setting.

My DVD 1 was running on the scart, I just took it out of the dvd and plug it in the HDR2, I suppose they booth need same configuration. Only a supposition.

Hi!

If you did that, you must go into the connections menu (menu -> settings -> connections or something similar) and change the "DVD" to "V.TAPE".

B&O philosophy is that the TV receives the commands from the remote, and then sends it to the DVD/HDR via the scart cable. And therefore the tv must know which product you have connected to which scart, so it knows which scart to activate and which commands to send to the device.

Thank's Magnus

Got it. What I could not understand is that the top line on tv represents the scart of behind the TV but it is reversed and as it was hard to climb behind....

That's why it did not want to work, when configuring the dvd I got just lucky.
