I am looking to purchase a TV to replace an ageing Pioneer Plasma. I have a Beovision 10-32 in the kitchen which I am really pleased with. For about the same money here in the UK I could purchase a new Beovision 11 55, or a year old ex-demonstration 7-55 (with blu ray motorised stand and 7.4 speaker). Leaving aside the aesthetics ( I think I prefer the Rothko like look of the 11 as it looks less like a conventional TV ) I would appreciate guidance as to which offers the best viewing experience. I am not so concerned about the smart TV features of the 11 as I have an Apple TV. Many thanks.
Both televisions are excellent. I've played around with the 11-55 at the B&O store, and it's great. I have a 7-55 at home (about 2 years old) that I love. The 7-55 has a slightly better picture, especially with darker images due to its local dimming LED backlight vs. the edge lit LED on the 11-55. You may get better use from the 11-55 with your Apple TV because it's made specifically to go with it. I use a Mac Mini with the 7-55. Other than that, it's all personal preference for the look of the cabinet. I happen to like the look of the 7-55 better because it's placed higher up on the tall floor stand. I, too am looking for a second TV for the bedroom, and my choices are 7-40 or 11-40. I might go with the 11-40 just for variation of outward appearances.
Good luck with your decision. You can't really go wrong with either one.

If I was choosing between a MKII BV7-55 and BV11, it's purely a matter of the design.
The BV11 has a superb image, but the audio quality of the BV7 speaker is much better than the BV11 (even with the BL11). If you like the design of the BV7-55, go for it. For me, the BV7 is starting to look a little long-in-the-tooth. Hell, I bought my BV7-32 back in December 2003 and the design hasn't changed :)
As for the viewing experience, they are both at around the same level. Perhaps the MKII BV7-55 edges the BV11, but the BV11 truly has a superb picture if you give it a great source (Blu-ray).
I was in the same position in December and decided to buy the BV11-55, and I am happy with the decision. The bv7-55 with the sound bar does provide a superior sound, and my guess is that the picture may be slightly better, as with the BV11 there is some shadow of white object against black background. Having said that, over time I don't really pay attention to the shadows anymore. The flexibility of 6 hdmis, being able to update the software via the Internet, the extensive ability to configure the sound and picture (including support for 6500K colour), and the integration capabilities makes the bv11 a better choice in my opinion. And in the end the bv11-55 does provide a great picture and sound that does not disappoint.

Bv77-55 is much better in image and sound quality and in my opinion is the best B&O tv.
