I am hoping someone can help, I have just moved from sky to virgin but the virgin tivo box only has one scart which I am using to watch TV (I am using the DVI for an apple tv).  The sky box has 2 scarts which I used to have connected to the HDR2 and worked fine.

I now have the HDR2 input into another scart on the TV but I can't get the HDR2 to see the STB.  Anyone know how I should have this configured?

Thanks

Dan

Have you tried plugging the Virgin STB into the spare SCART on the HDR2?  (This is one of the options in the HDR manual.)

Thanks for the quick  reply Guy, I am using the scart on the virgin box for watching TV, the old sky box had 2 scarts which is why I could make it work with the HDR2,like you suggest.

The BV7 40  MKII only has one DVI which I am using for the apple TV.

Thanks

Dan

Dan,

I wasn't very clear!  I meant connect the Virgin Box just to the AUX SCART socket (the top one) on the HDR2 using SCART.  Then use a second SCART to connect the HDR2's TV SCART socket (the bottom one) to the BV7.  Thus when watching the Virgin TV the signal would actually pass through the HDR2 also.

You would probably have to adjust the CONNECTION menu of the HDR2 to le tit know there is an STB plugged in, and the CONNECTION menu of the BV7 to let it know there is an HDR2 plugged in.  All this is in the manuals on this site.

I hope this helps!  (I don't have any of this kit by the way - just lots of SCART/B&O experience!)

Brilliant thanks, I follow you now; will definitely give that a go when I get home and see if it works.

Thanks Guy you're a star, I found a 2-way scart splitter so can run the virgin box through the dtv button and also through the HDR2, works a treat.

Fantastic stuff.

Cheers

Dan
