Hello again.I got some help with getting my Beogram 6006 up and working again (repaired by Dillen), some time ago.I'm happy to report it still works perfectly, and I have been using it on and off since the repair. The latest days I have been going through some of the singles in my collection. The beogram plays them fine with correct speed. But on some of the records (about 25% of them), the pickup is set down to far towards the centre, so that when the relay un-mutes the sound, the melody/song has allready started playing, and I loose the first few seconds. Is there any way to adjust the set-down point for singles? a milimeter or two towards the edge of the record would probably work fine.
This evening I ended up fixing it myself.I had found that when the arms was in the resting position, the sensor arm was not quite paralel with the edge of the rectangular aluminum top plate of the turntable. The end of the sensor arm was approx 2-3 mm further away from the edge than the base of the arm.So I took a hold on the base , so that it couldnt move, and gently "bent" the sensor arm towards the edge (one has to be _very_ gentle). I distinctly felt it move a little, and voila! The arm was paralel with the edge. And now the single records all play fine :)An easy fix actually, when I finally got the nerve to do it. I was very afraid of breaking something.
