Hey guys!
I got a B&O VCR Avant TV which got amazing audio, well, that is if the right speaker would had worked!
I have no experience of reparation of any these kind of devices so I really don't know where to start. The speaker isn't bad sounding its just don't output any audio, its like if someone would had unplugged it. If anyone have any tips on how to fix it, please tell me so I can enjoy the sound system all the way! :)
Thx in advance!
already looked in the 'sound settings' of the Avant??
Greetings Millemissen
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Im not stupid, mate. I'm very knowledged when it comes to electronic in general, I'm a Linux developer. But I'm not experienced with stereo and TV reparations. I build my own computers and I've repaired a lot of laptops.
The sound settings is fine. CHEERS!! :D
I would check the sources and cables, is it happening on all sources, if this is the case then it's not the cables at the back or the source but likely to be a fault in the avant.

You may not be stupid, but the sentence in your OP "The speaker isn't bad sounding its just don't output any audio, its like if someone would had unplugged..." reads poorly and is illogical to say the least. Apologies if this is because of language difficulties, but if someone comes on with a genuine suggestion then don't accuse them of suggesting you're stupid.
I've got a couple of ideas but I'm sorry, your attitude prevents me from going further.
CHEERS!!
Haha, whats your problem? I thought the "Cheers!" and the smiley would show that I said it with tongue in cheek. I'm not trying to offend anyone and the way I explained the problem would simply say that I didn't thought it was a broken speaker, more likely a wire that was "unplugged". I'm 15, I got alot to learn, including the english language but I find your post quite harsh and you are obviously to quick to judge. If your oh so mighty knowledge could help me out, feel free to share it with me and the forum (insert a lot of happy Smiley's here!!)

Thanks for supporting me
The one and only advice I - after the debut postings from Simon - am able to give, is...
..carry your sh** to a skilled B&O-technician
Do the headphones work in stereo? Either it is the amplifiers - or the drive units. If it is a 32" model, there are two amplifiers and two speakers for each channel so if the whole channel is gone, it could be in the preamp. ? component failure or cracked solder. Inside TVs can be a dangerous place so if you are not used to TV repair, I would let someone do it for you - don't want a fatality!

Thx alot for a serious answer :), I did experience the same problem with my headphones, only the left side were playing. Im guessing the connection in the back? I tried two different cables, One didnt want to display anything and the other obviously didnt get the right speaker to play. Both of these cables worked fine on a MX7000...
Sounds like a fault in the pre-amp - needs a service - well worth it! I still use my Avant daily - wonderful TV.
Me too - but mostly for listening to music through my BL 5000.
