Hi all,

Slowly bringing a Beosystem 5000 back to life, with much learned from this amazing forum; Beomaster, Beocord, CD50 all now working, so just starting on Beogram.

Question I have is the following: After removing the counterweight from the arm I am left with the de-coupled tube with pin to engage the weight as shown in the first photo;

However, this tube pulls off easily and is really much too loose. The second photo shows the decoupling rubbers on the back of the arm.

Am I correct in assuming this tube was glued to the arm on the decoupling rubber nearest to the arm pivot? And if so, what glue should I use? And if it was not glued, how do I get it to remain in place?

Many thanks
