Hi,

Wondering if someone could advise me, I have a besound 5 encore connected to beolabs 6000 which are daisychainned. I have noticed lately when listening to music the beolabs turn on and off whilst listening to music either from my nas drive or via the radio. I have tried the power cable and the powerlink cables to make sure theyre securely plugged in, but this still continues to happen.

Thanks

Hi applemac1,

Do both speakers turn off, or is just one speaker affected please?  If both speakers go off together, this would imply the cable nearest to the Encore could be at fault.  If only the speaker nearest the Encore goes off then it is likely to be a speaker fault.  If only the farthest speaker goes off then it could be the cable to that speaker, or the speaker.

Swapping over the speakers should help you to diagnose the issue.  Changing the cables can be an easy way to resolve many problems like this, I stock these cables in a wide choice of lengths:-

Kind regards, Steve.

Hi,

Well I cleaned the powerlink cable from the beosound 5 encore and plugged it back in a few times, seems to be working better, although it happened once today. It effects both speakers at the same time. The main issue with the cabling is that the speakers are on the opposite wall to the beosound 5 encore and its below my laminate flooring.
