I really need to stop reading this forum... It only took one mention of a Beomaster 8000 for me to go sniff around and see what the heck it was, and I fell in love.
Took a trip out of town yesterday and brought this home... Beautiful cosmetics and has so much dynamic power! And that's just running it with these average RL6000s. I think it is my favorite B&O thing so far, and to the dismay of many I think it's actually a cooler machine than the BC9500 (how is that the glass stays on these so well?!). Not only that, these cost a pittance of what my 9500 did.
Here it is on my "test bench" until I find some room for it (attached photo).
So my big question after making the mistake of going and reading all the threads on here of problems with these... How many hours (minutes) of listening enjoyment do I have left before it quits working? :(
Truly a thing of beauty so it is no wonder you fell in love with it

When I turned the corner in the gentleman's home and saw it at the top of his entertainment center I nearly fell over. It makes a tremendous impression and you can't ever really get a good idea of the sheer size from most photos. I know I say this a lot, but it's truly a piece of art. It is probably the single piece of B&O gear I've paid the LEAST for that has brought the biggest smile to my face. :) I just hope it lasts a little while before things begin to have trouble.

That is the way to go, enjoy !
