After more oppressive new taxes here I am getting out and retiring earlier than i had planned. So I have to flog off everything as I all ready have a fully kitted out place in France.

I had an agent looking at the house yesterday and he (was amazed) suggested I came up with a price for all my linked system should someone want to buy it with the house.

Except for the Avant the rest of the kit was bought new, so all good condition.

How should I price it ?

Hello,

Welcome to France :)

I am not sure that it will solve "the tax problem" because France is the european champion in this category.

It is hard to price your system as nobody knows what you really own.

BR

4 beolab 5,  beolab 9, beolab 10, beolab 5000, beolab 8000 mk2, beolab 6002, beolab 3500, beovision 7 55 mk2,  2 beovision 11 46 mk4, beotime, beosound ouverture, beosound essence, beoplay A8, beomaster 900 RG de luxe and the collection continues...

Not sure I would add a price but would regard it as making the house easier to sell. If they drive a hard bargain, take it with you.

Ovisab, I hear you and I am in both systems but trust me you get a lot for it. Not a popular subject for this forum ! PM me if you want to talk about it.

I was trying to determine what should i charge for it  as it was new from boxes and is in situ (fitted). Market price for total or more because it is installed ?

i have 4 linked rooms with no cable to be seen.

In my experience, it's just as Peter said. If you leave everything it might be that extra carrot that helps your house sell...

We would need to know what stuff you have. To the potential buyer, it's all used stuff by now. Doesn't matter much if you bought it used or new.

Selling a complete kit usually means selling it "cheaper", as I doubt someone looking for B&O kits, are going to need exactly what you got.

Some people looking at your house, might not even know what B&O is, nor care for it... There's been threads here with nice B&O equipment dumped in bins when houses are being re-modeled for new owners.

We love B&O, but all people don't. Frankly in todays world, much of the old ML systems look beyond dated for most young people.

Too long to list....

Yes I am coming around to that way of thinking.

The Avant is staying anyway. There are 4 x bl 4000's and bl2 with the Avant.

I have the BS9000 with Bl1 and Bl2 in another room. I will swop out the Bl1.s for a spare pair of 8000's and I will take the Bl2 as its a custom paint job.

The link rooms have a pair of Bl4000.s in one and a Bl3500 in the kitchen.

I have all this Beo stuff duplicated  in France with the exception of the TV... just have to buy a new BV11. :-0
