Thought a thread on software issues might be useful.

Incidentally, if you have a particular BV11 software issue or fault you are supposed to send a report through to Struer via the service menu (not the feedback page) and telephone your dealer so that he can also confirm the fault and time to Struer so that they can pick out the right report.

(My BV11 is on a motorised hinge with a satellite/ recording module, but mostly used on Freeview).

Fault 1. Switching on the radio would cause the TV to start up by moving towards the video stand position, then moving back. (My radio position is flat against the wall). Now resolved.

Fault 2. Radio picture muting was deactivated if you touched the volume control, after which the radio static picture stayed on. Now resolved.

Fault 3. Automatic radio picture muting does not work after first turn-on. You have to change radio channels after which the picture muting will work. Not resolved.

Fault 4. When selecting a programme in the menu for recording, if recording is selected by the red button on  the Beo4 as shown on the screen options the programme selected gets underlined  to confirm selection. However, the programme does not get recorded: only the time and programme details show up on the hard disk afterwards, with no recorded content. However, if recording is selected using the 'Record' button on the Beo4 the programme gets recorded properly. Not resolved

Fault 5. When switching from radio to TV the tuner seems to lock-up now and then, leaving the radio static picture on screen with the TV channel sound. When this happens the only workable option is to switch off and leave the TV for a couple of minutes after which everything works OK. If you switch back on too quickly you just get the radio picture appearing again. Possibly resolved. It has not happened again since the day of the last software update (but did happen once immediately after the update!)

Despite the above faults I am getting full support from my dealer. The television is actually a joy to use and the purpose of this thread is just to see if there are any other unresolved software issues that anyone else is aware of.
