Surround sound from Beovision 7-32 MK 1 with HD kit installed and Beolab 8000's

Please can somebody tell me why the sound is sometimes very quiet through the speakers (Beolab 8000's) from the television when you connect a pair of Beolab  8000's to the FRONT speaker sockets on the back of the beovision 7-32 and set the television to default setting 3 in the speaker settings options.
