A newbie requests help or advice, please be gentle.

I wish to cable up for a pair of passive speakers (RL35's) either from a MCL 2 A or possibly a MCL 2 AV / MCL 2P combo. My question is; is it required that the cables to the pair of speakers are of equal length to each other.

Many thanks.

Hi geoffk5109,

purists would probably say: Yes.

i would say: No - as long as they are not in too different lenghts.

Choose a good quality cable - must not be something fancy and expensive.

Have a good time with your RL35's...

......and welcome to BeoWorld.

Greetings Millemissen

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Millemissen, I thank you for your reply. I am running Penta 3's in my main room, Beolab 3000's & MCL 9000 in my other link rooms and these of course use Powerlink cables which are not necessarily of equal lengths. I seem to remember that when I set up my system in a former house nearly twenty years ago, that the dealer told me that equal lengths were not necessary because of the electronics in the MCL 2 boxes, but I cannot be sure that my memory serves me well.
