Hi,

I use an Avant 32 DVD as a link system with no sources connected. Main system is a BeoSystem3. Everything is working fine, but when I put the Avant to standby after some seconds the red standby dot in the display starts blinking.

Does anybody know what's the reason for or what this signifies?

The only reason the standby starts blinking I know is.

The older Avant's had a tape blocked in it's lid or a pincode was required to activate the avant.

Thank you beobuddy,

Your hint showd me the right way. It was the DVD drive, which had left it's state info. Although it was playing DVDs, the system menu showed "no disc loaded". After some frustrating experiments I decided to disconnect/reconnect power and everything is fine again.

Thanks again
