Hi guys,

Any of you use the BV6 26" as your computer monitor? Any big pro's and cons?

Thinking of making it my home computer monitor for use as an external display with my MBP...

The sound will obviously be a big +!

I know the resolution isn't exactly top-notch nowadays.

I got it cheap with the table stand, immaculate condition with not a mark on it, so couldn't refuse.

Too long to list....

If you have it, I would definitely use it.

I think it looks mickey mouse as a computer monitor.  They use to use them in B&O stores as monitors.

I use BV6/22 as computer monitor and already at the size of 22" the resolution is too low for this screen size. Pro: looks and sound :-)

Be also carefull if using Win8, the minimum resolution is 1024x768 - the BV6/22 does only support 720p, so Win8 refuses to work properly :-(

But I think BV6/26 does support 1366x768

I do, on a Mac Mini.

Seemed like a good idea at the time, would i do it again seeing the hi-res quality of mac screens: no.

Also picture quality of th BV6 is that good (sometimes dark) and in one of the settings (which I use now) I have two green lines on both sides. Sound of course an the av function (connected to the BS5) are superb.

But in my office I have my vintage BS7000 (depending connected alternately to either BL 9, BL8000 or BL6000) which i use most of the time.

I'll try to post some pictures

Very cool Fix! Yes - thumbs up

Definitely will use it as my computer monitor then. Will it automatically notice the input, or will the Beo4 have to be used to select the mode?

Yes it is factory , I thaught and still think it makes the bv much lighter than the black version especially when the back is in the middle of a room

Thanks,

The mac mini is under V.Mem hdmi1, in the beginning it (through PUC) started and commanded Front Row. But now front row doesn't exist anymore so only starts stops music in itunes. Under DTV hdmi2 I have a setupbox.

I will check the settings of the mac and the bv and try to take a picture of the green lines.

Would be neat if B&O applied themselves to make a dedicated computer monitor.

As the market is at the moment, there is basically only Apple making good looking monitors.

Samsung, Dell, and the lot don't even seem to be trying. There must be a decent market of design conscious home offices, high end retail and such that don't necessarily want a grey aluminium Apple screen on display.
