I am trying to change the display on my Beosound 900 so that it always shows the track number as well as the disc.

The instructions state in the manual:

'The BeoSound 9000 display can give you three different types of information about the CD being played:

– Name*
– Number of CD and track
– Number of CD and elapsed track
time

To switch from one display to the other, you must press the OK button repeatedly while the CD is playing.

Switching between displays

Your chosen display indication for the CD player will remain in the display panel and only disappear temporarily when you undertake another operation on the BeoSound 9000 operation panel. Then the information which accompanies this operation will appear in the display for a short period of time.'

Mine will stay on the track number temporarily but always revert to the clock. Also it will not show the third option which is the time elapsed as stated in the manual also.

Any ideas.

Try pressing the "clock" button. It sounds like you have the clock turned on. Pressing once will turn off, again will turn back on.
