When the Mk2 version of PM was "announced" the new feature was that it could do firmware upgrades untethered. However a side effect, which we have discussed in the forum was that Bang and Olufsen have removed the native support for FLAC files.

However looking at the full specification on their website, it is still stated that it can play FLAC. So I'm getting confused. I have not had any success in searching the web or this forum for anyone which can clarify this.

So dear B&O experts, can any of you confirm whether the Playmaker Mk 2 can play FLAC files via DLNA or not. Apples AirPlay is not interesting here, since the Apple device is acting as the media render, so the FLAC files is not streamed directly to the PM.

If you're concerned about FLAC playback, get a MKI Playmaker. It is widely distributed in the service messages from B&O that MKII will not play FLAC.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
