We have received a number of direct e-mails regarding the Creation 5 app following the release of iOS7 - given that a number of forum members use the app with various Bang & Olufsen products we thought it would be useful to post a general information update of some changes and minor problems that we are resolving as a result of the iOS update.
If there are any specific queries that we can help with, please contact us directly or post a question and we will reply as quickly as possible.
Thank You - The Creation Team
Hello Creation team,
Great job on the app, I'm really enjoying the new update.
However I have a question for you. I'd like to be able to search for a song in the drive, is there a way to do that?
Thanks in advance.
I never got the application to work. It always says "searching for Beosound 5" I don't know what this is. Beosound 5 is set to Audioserver = ON but nothing...I'm on IOS 5.1.1 with an iPad 1.
Thanks for your question OlgaS - we are currently working on an overhaul of the DLNA module for the app and we will be adding a search function to enable users to search content on any compatible DLNA server on the network. We don't currently have a release date but are working towards including this in the next release - if you have automatic updates set on your device it will download automatically.
Hi TWG - thanks for your note - if you are seeing the 'Searching for Beosound 5' message you are using a very old version of the app as we removed that message some time ago in 2012. The first thing you need to do is go to the updates list on your iPad 1 and update the Creation 5 app, this should enable the app to connect to the BeoSound 5. While we have optimized the latest version of the app to work with iOS7, your iPad 1 will download the last version compatible with your device/iOS version. Please note that we are aware that certain features may not run perfectly on older devices but the DLNA feature should work well. If you continue to have problems, please drop us a note.
Creation.
