Every so often when the phone is docked to the mains the phone LED flashes with Information and asks me to charge the phone.
I am guessing the battery in the phone is dead (had it for a good few years and no battery change). Is it an easy change? How do I get in the thing? Batteries from eBay any good?
Thanks :-)

Hello,
Try maybe to clean carefully the contacts on the base and the phone. I had this problem (the battery discharged while docked but I noticed that it didn't charge) and this solved it (the system with magnets is I think very 'sensible' and sometimes the 'click' sound from the magnet when putting the phone on its base was missing or very low). If not you can open the phone using a credit card and separating carefully the cover starting from the down part to have access to the battery.
I hope this helps.
Hi,
i had similar problem and the problem was the battery. I changed it nad the problem was solved.

Hi there, there is a great video on youtube showing you how to change the battery without marking the phone, it's a must watch, just google beocom 4 and it's one of the first offerings, cheers
Where would anyone recommend buying a battery for the Beocom4?
Most places online are selling an incorrect battery. My original battery has 2 wires and a small 2 pin plug. I bought one from ebay and its got 3 wires and a larger 3 pin plug.
Thanks.
