Yesterday I had a car in front of me on the Autobahn and it had the number 1203 on the license plate.

Guess what?

It reminded me at once at the Beogram 1203.

Not only that, but I said to myself.

"Ok, I had the Beogram 1202 a few years ago and the 1203 was the not so good later model of this..."*

Really infected with the BeoVirus....

Ralf

PS: Beoworld says "It was in fact rather simpler than its immediate predecessor, the 1202 , and was based on the Beogram 2000 rather than the top of the range 3000."

Yes. I know what you are talking about. Still, "300" are reserved in my mind because of an other virus, the Mercedes Benz-kind. Theres no other combination of numbers that is more associated with the Three pointed star then "300" and for me the combination "6000" cant get me thinking for something other than B&O

Is that why Chrysler used the 300 name for their E class based car?

You have the virus, when you bid on vintage on the bay, bid low and get it, and then dont know why you bid, and dont know where to place it.

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

Don't mention ebay

you know you have the virus when;

you buy a beomaster 1200 in june that won;t get to Thailand until November

you buy a beomaster 1500 in july which hopefully  will also get here in November

you buy a beocenter 2600 which now lies in a loft in wigan

you buy a pair of CX50 speakers which are trapped in south wales

and finally you buy the beoplay A3 which now resides in the north of Thailand but should get down here in early December, not too rushed on that one as I don't own an ipad 2

help

You left out that you also have to drive 700 miles to Texas to pick it up  Laughing

another one:

when I see B&O on tv I will ask everybody in the room, if they spotted it, too.

If it is on DVD or Blu-ray, I might even rewind back to that part of the scene....

My familiy now sometimes sees these things before I do. ;-))

Right, in TX now waiting for pickup, BG RX, BM 3300, Ultrasonic cleaner, small bits and pieces, in Denmark waiting for pickup, BM 1000, BG 1000, Present de Luxe 608. And I found out that I absolutely cant live without a BM 2000 Type 2801, so I´m looking for it, in the hope that I dont stumble on something else. (like the BM 3300)

When your wife questions you "does everything have to be B&O" when you display your latest piece knowing there is still 3 more pieces to unpack and set up and you answer back I also have a pair of Vans !

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Each time I take the tube (métro) there are signs under a tunnel that say : V1 PM.

Don't know what that means for the staff but for me it´s Beoplay V1 and PlayMaker...

As luck will, my wife is collecting and making dolls, she must have some 100+ dolls, so when she question me about "new" buys, I tell her " have only 7 Complete B&O systems, you have more than 100 dolls. She also have a USD 5000.00 sewing maschine. 5K goes a long way when it comes to vintage. If your wife isn´t a dolls collector, ask her how many pair of shoes she have.
