Has anyone ever tried to 'pull out' the speakers of a Avant 32" tv?

Was there are a thread on the 'old' BeoWorld', perhaps?

Would be nice to know if and how at least the speakers incl amps might be 'reused' before my  Avant gets the kick!

Greetings Millemissen

Yes, there were a few threads - but none that actually ended with a demonstration of a useful result, I'm afraid.

The main problem is that you will need to build a power supply and the control circuitry yourself, if you want to use the amps.

OK, thanks for your answer.

Sad enough to think about letting 'this long time friend' go - but times are changed!

I'm also looking for a way to be able to reuse the speakers and amplifier of a Beovion Avant 32. For now I didn't have any succes to make it work. I already tried the following:

Service manual: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/563496/avant_rf28_rf32_rf_ctv.pdf

Normal 0 21 false false false NL-BE X-NONE X-NONE I have the power supply (print 4), two amplifier unit with STK 4122II (print 10&11) and the speakers.

On print 4 I put directly the 230Vac on P46. P45 and P43 are disconnected. Flatcable on P41 and P42 are cut. I only made a connection on P42 between pin 10 (8VSB) and pin 2 (STBY/ON). Then I have +20V and -20V on P44.

Then I connect the amplifier units (print 10, P58) to the power supply (print 4, P44). On the amplifier unit (print 4) we then have the input on P57 (1=mute sound, 2=NC, 3=sound, 4=GND). Pin 2 and 4 I connect with GND on power supply (print 4, P42).

When connecting a sound input on amplifier (print 10, P57) between pin 3 and pin 4, I don't get any sound out of the speakers.

Does anybody know the power of the speakers of the Avant 32 VCR? I would like to build a power supply for the amplifier modules and still looking to have the right transformer?

Would 100VA be enough for the two amplifier modules? Does the DC power have to be stabilized?
