my current system is a beovision 11 bl2 and beolab8000 my question is which wireless speaker would be the best technically to fit my system living in canary isles not interested in digging up floors and laying new tiles to wire other speakers, so wireless ideal

your  advice welcome

Well, actually it would depend on the room and where your sitting/listening position is.

If a rather big room - with space between you and the rears - the BL18 would be a possibility.

The distance (I would say 2 meters) to the speakers would give you full profit of the ALT's of the 18.

If the room is smaller and the rears are to be placed near your listening position, the BL17 are more flexible - they can even be mounted on the wall, and - depending on how high - be turned towards your listening place.

Besides the BL17 would be more than enough as a rear speaker.

If you should decide for the BL18's, you should concider swapping them with the BL8000.

You would have more fun - and more 'gain' for your money - if you would use the BL18 as frontspeakers, and let the 8000 (with the wireless receiver to come) be rears.

But - in general - one should try it out at home.

That is the best way to decide.

many thanks for your quick reply sounds like the beolab 17s are ideal as having tiled floors do not wish to dig up to accommodate my beolab 8000 if swapped around.

as I have a beovision 11 do I need receiver when it comes out

hope Denmark is not getting to cold enjoyed your country on my visit to struer with beoworld

once again

many thanks

Hi Malcolm,

please let us know how the BL17 works - when you get it!

"Cold"- actually it is cold this morning (or rather midday).

But - in Denmark- we just put on a 'Fireplace -DVD' and move closer to our big screens 🔥

I think it depends on when you got your 11 ... isn't there a Next Generation version ?

BV 11 with radio transmitter have been released since October 2013. Yours will need the extra box to come.
