I had a lot of trouble getting the BeoRemote App on my iPad to activate the BV11. All the advice about needing to turn on the WLAN-ON option, including the advice on the Bang-Olufsen website, tells you to go to the Network options and select WLAN-ON, but there are no such options to be found under Networks.
A call back from Nick at B&O Liverpool helped resolve the problem. You need to go to POWERSAVE where you will then find further Network options. Turn on LAN-ON and WLAN-ON in the POWERSAVE network menu and the problem is resolved and the TV can be turned on from the iPad (although it might still take a couple of attempts for the iPad to find the TV!)
if you do not activate the WLAN-ON option you will only be able to use the BeoRemote after first turning the TV on with the Beo4.

Thanks for the tip. I checked the setup on my V1, as it's been a while since I initially did it, and found that everything under powersave re WLAN and LAN etc, was turned on.
I've tried turning the TV on in the past using the Beoremote on an iPad 3, with no success.
So I tried again and this time it worked!
The trick seemed to be to open and close the Beoremote app on the iPad a couple of times so that it 'found' the TV - then the 'on' button on the remote app worked fine
