Hi all, I have a beosound 5 that keeps going off when the radio is on. I have tried adjusting the buffering setting but it still continues to go off. It will play for a few minutes but then goes off & the radio logo on the display will flash. I can leave it like that indefinitely and it won't restart. It is really frustrating me, please can someone help!?

Has it always been this way? Whats your internet speed like? Is it connected to your router via wireless or a cable?

Do you have the latest software version?

Sounds like an internet of wifi issue.

is the beo master hard wired to the router?  If not hard wire it or run Ethernet over mains to it.

I was going to give a more detailed response but it's impossible on an iPhone on this forum.

Buffer settings are not available anymore with the latest Software version.

Thanks for all your replies, it hasn't always been like this, but it has never been perfect. As far as I'm aware the software is the latest version - when I check manually for an update it says latest version is installed. But it will still let me adjust the buffer time manually, I have just altered it from 40 to 30 secs to see if that makes a difference. It is hard wired into the router, and all my other bits of kit that use broadband work fine ie sky, Xbox live, laptop etc.

Submit a request to Service in your area with the channel you are trying to dial in and the report of what is happening. I had a client experience the same issue. When we put in the request Tech then forwarded it to the service they use to keep up with the channels. Took about a month, but we don't experience any issues any more. Start with a simple hardware mains power unplug on the BeoMaster 5 and your router first.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
