I just bought a service manual on ebay that I cant find in the selection.

Now, whenever it ends up in my hands as it has to travel all around the world, I would like to take images and contribute it. But how to do this?

Christian

Christian,

in the 'products' section, you can in theory use the 'contact' section and can send a pdf. version to Beoworld.  I say 'in theory' as none of the manuals/schematics etc that I have submitted in April 2013 have appeared as far as I can see - namely for the mini 609K.

As  a resource, Beoworld is a leader and invaluable but I don't understand why when rare or previously unobtainable items such as this are not published for the benefit of other forum members when they have been made available.

Gentlemen,

Many members kindly donate copies of Service Manuals either to Peter or myself and I ensure they have been added to our library and made available via the Beoworld web site.

The easiest way to donate manuals for the site is by sending it(them) to me at keith@beoworld.org as an attachment and they are normally added the same day as they are received.

Regards Keith....

Same here, I submitted a color scan of the original 16 page accessories brochure (terminal, furniture (attyca, f1000), stands), never made it on the Website.

Could be there by now, but I am not a silver/gold member anymore.

Afraid I am a bit out of the link as my broadband is so slow that loading anything became impossible! Just had an engineer out and it could actually be referred to as broadband now so things may improve!! I do have a few manuals that are not scanned on so always worth asking - mainly 60s and 70s kit.

Leslie, I bought the service manual for the reel to reel Beocord, 1800-2400 series.

Bought it becore I have any  machine Geeked

I can see that they appear on the the second hand market here once in a while, so I will eventually get one one day.

Its obvious that all service manuals here are in one PDF, how do you do this.

I can scan individual pages, but how do you glue individual jpg images into one big PDF ?

I asume an Acrobat job ? I dont have Acrobat.

Hi Keith,

not wanting to inflame passions or upset anyone but I'm afraid this sometimes does not happen - as illustrated by my (more than once) and others experience.  I do feel that the volunteers such as yourself and Peter helping/working with the site do a sterling job but nothing is ever perfect.

I am happy to re-send the pdf's I sent in April but will this time send them directly to you.  Many thanks for the e-mail address which hopefully many more members who do have some of these documents will use so that we  can now add them to our archives.

Dave.

Hi Christian,

Scan your manual in individual PDF's if your scanner software doesn't support creating multipage (or -image) PDFs.

Now comes the big magic: PDF Split and Merge, it's a free program to 'glue' several pdf files to each other and get one big pdf as the result.

It can be downloaded here on the website of the manufacturer. While installing be careful to _de_select the Toolbar and don't allow to change browser settings.

The prog itself needs JAVA installed on your machine and is available also for Mac.

I'm not affilated by the manufacturer, but the program might be useful :)

Hi Christian,

are you sure that your scanners software won't already do this?  I have to change (tick a box really) settings to tell the scanner to combine the pages into one document.  If you access your scanner/printer via your PC I would have thought an option like this would be possible.

Good luck,

Dave.

Thanks, now I know how to do this.

I have never installed the big software packaes that comes with computer assoceries, only native drivers.
I have 16 USB things that has to be inditified and installed druring start up, it would take forever to start my computer if I installed all startup software....but now I know the procedure and can figure out :)

Thank you Keith.

Few minutes ago I've sent you 2 other manuals per mail which are also not present in the BW manual database.
