Hi guys,
thought some of you might be interested in this response from B and O regarding the new Wireless speakers.
I have a beosound 5 encore and have been looking for a solution to the limitations of this stand alone unit. So ask the question will the new speakers connect with it. Below is there response, however as mine is 3years old it does not have RJ 45 connections so I would have to use the RCA process.
just thought id share this and also ask if anyone has any other suggestions? Beo link wireless 1 ?
Response from b and o.
You can connect them through PowerLink. Here are the BeoLab 17 connection options for you:Power Link (RJ45) 2 Line RCA 1 x RCA (L/R) TOSLINK:In/out sample rate 32k, 44.1k, 48k, 96k, 192k1) / LPCM16-24 bit1) 96 kHz is maximum until further notice Wireless Power Link - (WiSA™)

Maybe I don't quite understand your 'problem'?
Connecting the BL17 to the Encore is just the same procedure as connecting it to any other B&O system.
If you use the PowerLink cables, of cource you need the adapter from ' DIN to RJ45'.
Just the same with connecting to the 'Wireless1'.
Using RCA could be an option - but why???
And the Encore has no digital out connection.
If you you are thinking of connecting both the Encore and a BV - forget it. Won't work!
For this you need a PowerLink Switch.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
I think he means how to connect them wirelessly.
Is there a power link "beamer"? As an ad-on to the Encore?
Too long to list....
You simply need a BeoLab Transmitter 1, 1 x PL to RJ45. You're done, except for the purchase of the BL17's of course.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
