I try 0000 and it says pincode error, however I can still play cds. What is going on? Can I remove the pincode?
You'll have to go back to the seller and request it. Where did you buy it from?
If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.
I bought it from a guy on ebay but he did not know the code.
But I put a cd in and it works anyway. What's up with that?

Take the serial number, call a dealer in your area and ask him to check if this beocenter has been declare stolen.
Ask the seller where he bought it new.
With the serial number you can know when and where it was sold.
4 beolab 5, beolab 9, beolab 10, beolab 5000, beolab 8000 mk2, beolab 6002, beolab 3500, beovision 7 55 mk2, 2 beovision 11 46 mk4, beotime, beosound ouverture, beosound essence, beoplay A8, beomaster 900 RG de luxe and the collection continues...
The dealer will only supply supply a master code to the registered owner. If the seller is unable to provide you with the PIN code (which is always dubious) you'd be best to request a refund.
What about the fact that it worked though when we put the cd in? The seller said there was no pin code and it worked fine without it. It was just when the screen came up we tried 0000 and it said error.
If you can get into it to play CD's you should be able to follow the instructions in the manual (available at B&O's web site) to completely disable pincode protection.
