Dear members,
just a crazy thought. I currently have a Beosystem 7000 in Option 0 linked to an Avant in Option 2 and speakers connected to the Avant. However, I'd like to add Beolab 5000s on a wall as a choice. Doing so, according to Stefan, is perfectly possible with a MCL2AV converter and the Link functionality of the Beolink 7000. However, would it also be possible to add a Beosystem 4500 to such a setup - all in one room?
I'm not sure whether this is understanable, but what I want to know is: can one have a fully integrated system consisting of a Beosystem 7000 and an Avant and link a separate system like the 4500 with an additional pair of speakers to the already existing system employing the MCL2AV and all of that in one single room? I know, that's crazy but is it possible?
Rgds,
Kai
I know for sure: You've got the virus :-)
I don't think it will work.completely. 2 Audiomasters in 1 room/system is asking for troubles.

Do you really think so? Please don't tell anybody. You are the first one to know. I wanted to keep it as a personal secret for as long as possible. So pssst.
He has the virus.
I know this is not what you want, but I used this to connect BM 2400, BM 4400 and a 5000 stack (pizzaboxes) to one set of speakers P45, in the same room I had my Beosound 3000 with BL 8000, these days are gone, my lovely wife tricked me into paint the whole ground floor in our house, of course I had to move the items while painting, she then told me in her nicest voice that I could set up the Bs and the 8000s, the rest are placed in a corner in my to be Beobar. The CX 100s in the pic are the only ones that I could set up there, so my P45, S45s, Bvox 3000 panels, Bvox 1600s are all in my workshop. So if you have a living companion maybe you should discuss it with that person before you get too much in there. I found the set up very nice, but other people has other opinions, strange I find, why cant they understand
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

No.
But you can add a BS4500 in A.OPT0 to your BL5000 via a Powerlink switch.
Or add a BS4500 in a second room (link room) via a Beolink video to your ML system. Will work as a local system with access to the main system. Must be a 1-way BM4500 though.
And I`m not sure what happens if you connect this BM4500 to TV socket of your MCL 2 AV....???

Dear Stefan,
that's the only reasonable possibility for me out of the three that you've mentioned. What is a powerlink switch? Does it mean that you manually have to push a switch to make a selection which source the music is played from? Could you please elaborate on that a little more?
Thanks very much!
Cheers,
